What Are The Significant Symptoms Of ADD

As you may know, ADD is a type of disorder which the kids find difficulty in paying attention and can easily be distracted from what they are doing even by the slightest factor. To determine whether a kid suffers from ADD or not, doctor will base on a check list includes 9 symptoms. If the kid has 6 out of 9 listed symptoms, he is diagnosed as ADD sufferer. One thing you need to know is these symptoms must persist more than 6 months in more than one setting (school, home…). Here are the 9 symptoms you might expect from kids with ADD.

- Forgetful in daily activities
- Usually make careless mistake and have difficulty in paying attention to details
- Highly sensitive to stimuli -> highly distractible
- Have difficulty stay focus on one matter
- usually lose small things
- Not always willing to use the brain to think about difficult/challenging matters
- Find difficulties in following sequenced instructions and usually fail to reach the goal
- Have difficulty in organizing
- Don’t seem to pay attention to people who they are talking directly to

If your kid meets 6 out of 9 above symptoms, it’s very likely that he/she is having ADD. However, it’s recommend that you should go to the doctor to have thorough diagnosis
